Sweden's happiest record store

Morning Glory Records was originally born in a boyhood dream of mine. I grew up in Matfors in the north of Sweden and during that time my best friend’s parents had a small store in the nearest town Sundsvall. How I loved being in that store! Partly because I liked to stroll around in the store and look at all the stuff but what I really enjoyed was being more behind the scenes, watching all the unpacked boxes and feeling the adult scent from the coffee machine. Right then and there the dream of having my own physical store was born!

So how did it go with my dream? Not too good I have to admit but at the age of 46 I finally found the courage to open a small record store in the basement of my house outside Sköldinge, in the heart of Sweden. Having a store turned out to be just as fun as I imagined as a child, and two years later I signed a contract for a real facility in the nearest town Katrineholm. Morning Glory Records was born!

Today I have established myself as one of the more well known places for used vinyl, cd, cassettes and HiFi equipment. My objective is to be one of Sweden’s more well-stocked record stores, with a supply that satisfies all tastes in music and personal budgets.

If I succeeded? Come and find out for yourself.
